Crazy Cold!

Yesterday morning we noted our low temperature was a frigid 22º! This is the Southern Oregon coast for Pete's sake! As if last year wasn't bad enough, now we're having this bitter cold tossed out at us. Has Mother Nature finally snapped? Has she lost her mind?

I'm doing my best to think positive. Thinking forward to Spring and Summer, and considering all those less than beneficial "bugs" we normally have to deal with. Perhaps this rather lengthy, and lower than usual for our area dip in temperatures will serve to reduce the numbers of those normally tenacious insects we fight every year.

The kids are thinking positive as well. They're hoping for just the right combination of cold and moisture that might result in their first (and perhaps only)white Christmas!

It's good to dream! :)

We've had lows of 19 the last couple nights....a storm is on it's way today - hoping for a snow day tomorrow!

It doesn't seem to get as cold here either. Although we do get more snow than you, the weather is actually quite temperate compared to Wyoming. Hope your kids get to experience a white Christmas. What a great memory that will make.

Boo. I'm sure it's no surprise that my boss is a complete jackass who did NOT call a snow day. I woke up at 4am and it was DUMPING snow. Half of the office called in that they could not drive into work today. My bus was sliding on the roads. But NO SNOW DAY.

It's still snowing, by the way.

um...okay. I might have to take my "jackass" comment back. He just gave me the most beautiful piece of art and a very old bottle of wine for Christmas.

Happy holidays..and many blessings..

Well someone has to say....It's that durn global warming. Sorry man, couldn't resist.

We've got 9 inches here...it's beautiful!! The neighbors tree has fallen on my plum tree...it's been a bad year for tree's in my yard! Beeb only sledded into the creek once...they are having a blast. Would you believe I still have the old red sled?? And they still use it!

LOL Carol! I'm surprised I haven't seen reference to Global Warming before this. Of course I haven't had much time for surfing lately...Although I do appreciate the humor in the statement...I also gotta say, seriously,as odd as it may seem, it may actually be a "symptom" of that very real problem.

Sounds like our white Christmas ended up at your house! Sorry about your plum tree. Glad the young 'uns are enjoying the white stuff!

The red sled! Wow! I was just thinking about that thing the other day! I remember so well the year that sled appeared under the Christmas tree! I was also thinking about the red tobbogan that did double duty as a water trough for our duck, Rollo May. Ah! The memories! :)

I'll dream with you!!! lol Been cold here and we ended up with about 12" on the ground. We live on a private road at the top of a hill so it hasn't been the most fun! I love the beauty of it (until it isn't pretty anymore) but ready for it to go. Yesterday, we got down ok but coming back up our hill - took 7 tries!!!

Merry Christmas to you and your lovely family!!!!!!!!

hugs,
Marcia
